As a new PC Matic Pro customer, please use the information provided below to access your Management Console, download and install PC Matic, and discover more about how to effectively utilize the software to maintain the security of your devices.

Accessing your PC Matic Management Console

To begin, login to your PC Matic Management Console at https://portal.pcmatic.com using the email address and password you setup when you placed your order:


Installing PC Matic

PC Matic Pro can be installed on Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and 11; macOS, 10.12 and up; Windows Server 2008R2 and up; and many current distros of Linux Server.

To begin installation, log in to your Management Console (a.k.a.: Web Portal), and click on the Add or Remove a Device button from the Devices tab.

Real-time Protection

PC Matic's real-time, allowlist protection, is called SuperShield. It is always running and monitoring your devices for the execution of unknown and bad files and scripts. To verify that SuperShield is active, locate the PC Matic icon in your system tray. A green icon means SuperShield is active and the device is protected.

The SuperShield icon may be hidden in your system tray. To show all of the icons; click the arrow to the left of the icons. To make sure the SuperShield icon is always displayed in the system tray:

  1. Press and hold or right-click any empty space on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings
  2. The taskbar is the bar at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Under Notification Icons, click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  4. Toggle On for the PC Matic SuperShield icon.

Schedule a Scan

Scanning your device on a recurring schedule can ensure that it is free of malware and running the best it can. To learn how to schedule a scan, please see the article on scanning here.
