System Tray Menu

Enabling the System Tray Menu on a device allows the user to access administrative controls through the system tray menu. These controls include turning off Protection, enabling override modes, and more.

Prompt for Override

By enabling Prompt for Override, the user has the option to allow or always allow an application that PC Matic is going to block.

Remote Desktop Protocol

The use of Remote Desktop Protocol can create opportunities for brute force attackers to gain control of an endpoint. This report provides information on all devices with RDP enabled, including the port it is enabled on, and allows the option to turn it off. Account Lockout Settings

PC Matic MSP automatically sets the Windows Account Lockout Threshold as a measure to prevent brute force attacks. Our default settings/recommendations include 10 incorrect attempts (Threshold) within 5 minutes (Duration) to lock the account for 5 minutes (Observation).
